Adobe Acrobat
If the PDF cannot be converted back onto another format such as Word, you can use Adobe Acrobat to improve accessibility of the PDF following the Good, Better, Best model.

If not converting a PDF back into an editable format to resolve accessibility issues, PDFs can be checked using Adobe Acrobat's checker.

Acrobat's accessibility toolbar allows you to check and make a PDF accessible. It prompts you to address accessibility issues, such as a missing alt text or page title, tag order, . It looks for common elements that need further action, form fields, tables, and images. You can run the accessibility checker using this method. For any further questions related to using Adobe's Accessibility toolbar, please visit Adobe's Accessibility Help or open a Help Desk ticket.
